A 3-month intensive summer program that focuses on allowing its members to gain a foundational understanding of where the field is at before addressing the most pressing issues. Three main topics are of interest: Astronaut Health & Performance, Space Architecture, and Space Transportation Systems. Members are preferred to have some prior experience in research, but no knowledge in the field required.

The premier Milky Way program took place in the of Summer 2022. The 3 research teams presented at International Astronautical Congress in Paris and published their manuscripts. Applications for Summer 2023 will open April 2023.
